Logo patterns (double C): Always check the symmetry of the center seam on every Coach handbag you inspect. This is something that can be done in seconds even when scrolling through the listings on ebay. The famous double C Coach pattern should line up centered in the middle of the handbag nearly perfect. However, it does not have to be perfect to the millimeter. Coach does allow for a slight tweak in either direction, but nothing too dramatic. Generally, the front side of the handbag will have the most perfect centering, and on the backside of the handbag is where you may find some slightly off center C’s. This balance from slightly tweaked to dramatically tweaked gets easier to identify the more you study this detail. In this guide we have illustrated near perfect centering, slightly tweaked, and dramatically tweaked. 
Note: The slight tweaking is
more common with the tiny double C Coach patterns. The larger the C's, the less
tweak should be permitted.

Below is an image of an off-center Coach logo pattern: [Slightly tweaked].
Note: The Coach logo pattern is not centered on the bag. Also, notice the hangtag, it does not
have a metal grommet (more info on metal grommets later). This does not always mean the bag is fake,
but if the bag is fairly new, this is something that should give rise to caution
(details on dating Coach bags, hangtags and grommets later). Also, it is important to
remember that authentic Coach can be slightly off center in their center seam. As long
as it is not too dramatic. But in this picture, we have a slightly off center seam, along
with no metal ring in the grommet. Either one of these issues by themselves may not add up
to much, but together should start to raise suspicion. The more of these little x-factors piling up on one
bag, the more cautious a buyer should be.
2. Model and style: Coach does not vary too much with their designs; however this is something that is highly subjective. But the idea is that if someone is selling a Coach handbag that looks like something that Coach would never sell, if it is an odd looking design, then that should raise a red flag. It is not an overly common tactic of the counterfeiter to create their own styles and slap on a Coach logo, but it does happen. So keep an eye open for the handbags that seem to have peculiar styles, ones that you have never seen before or heard of. 3. Font: Any Coach handbag should always have the famous Coach signature C. Never anything different.
