However, on occasion we may miss some of the secondary tells in the photos. So we encourage
you the reader to inspect the images for other tells to help increase your spotting skills.
We recommmend that you read our tutorial Spot Fake Handbags

Burberry Part One Burberry Tags ← 6. The Tag:
The images below are authentic Burberry tags. The front is blue with silver/white lettering on the
outside and, the back is white with the Model/color/code details. The string attaching it to the bag will be blue
with a small round blue medallion attached with Burberry written on it.
Note: This is another example of a universal tell we discuss in our
Spot Fake Handbags tutorial. Often times the tag on an authentic handbag acts like a
passport, offering a trail of stickers and stamps highlighting the bags journey to
its current destination. On the below image of the tag's back, we can see the original factory tag that would
have been used by a retail venue, then by looking at the bottom of the tag we
know that the bag had been moved
to an outlet, by the horizontal price/bar code outlet sticker covering the bottom half of the original tag.
These are ususally good signs that the bag is authentic, or at the very least the tag is
authentic. Counterfeiters will fake the original tags, but most replica/fake bag makers
will not put phony outlet price stickers with bar codes on the original tag. But remember, never come to a conclusion based on a tag alone. There is no
subsitution for a thorough inspection of the physical details on the bag itself.

Note: Notice the horizontal outlet sticker on the bottom of the tag with a price
of $149.00. This item ended up at an outlet, which is usually a good sign.
7. The Dustbag:
The dustbag shown is the newer style. It is a tan, linen type cloth with black lettering and a black drawstring.
